Tahini

Place the sesame seeds into a food processor and blend into a gritty powder.

Slowly add the salt and grapeseed oil. You should have a loose paste like mixture.

Hummus

Add lemon juice to the tahini mix and blend for 1 minute.

Add the garlic, olive oil, salt, and cumin. Blend for 1 minute.

Drain the liquid from the garbanzo beans. Add the beans to the processor, and blend until smooth.

If needed add 1 tablespoon of water at a time while the processor is on, until you reach the desired consistency.

Remove the seeds from 1 jalapeno pepper (to reduce the heat down to a flavor and not a kick) and finely dice. Add the diced jalapenos and blend for 1 minute.

Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
